Badlands Restrung
Badlands Restrung takes inspiration from the anime Trigun. Trigun follows a gunman with a massive bounty on his head from an even that wasn't his fault but his brother.s The gunman has to come to terms with his past and find peace in a wasteland filled with violence. In a world such as this is it even possible to achieve peace without violence?
The "A" section of Badlands Restrung recreates the world of Trigun through western style riffs and cadential points that lie unresolved, almost as if to ask "Where do we go from here". The ballad section represents a scene in which the brothers play a duet on afuturistic piano in a flashback. The evil brother plays a simple theme that represents his darkness and hatred for the world, to which the good brother joints and plays over top of him a much more complex melody that represents his more complex positive view of the world.
